Llyrio Boateng has been selected to join Watersprite Film Festival’s Watersprite Hubs 2025 Cohort, supported by the Victoria Wood Foundation. The programme brings together emerging filmmakers from across the UK for a day of development workshops, mentorship, and industry networking, taking place at HOME in Manchester this November.

Watersprite is one of the UK’s leading film festivals dedicated to nurturing new and early-career filmmakers. Its Hubs initiative extends that mission by offering focused creative training, peer collaboration, and access to leading voices within the film industry. The programme aims to strengthen participants’ artistic confidence and provide practical insight into working within the sector.

For Llyrio, being part of the 2025 cohort is an opportunity to deepen his creative practice within film, connect with other filmmakers, and continue developing work that explores the relationship between form, story, and lived experience.
