Llyrio Boateng longlisted for the London Library Emerging Writers Programme 2025/26

Llyrio Boateng has been longlisted for the 2025/26 London Library Emerging Writers Programme. The programme received over 1,950 applications this year, with judges recognising Boateng’s submission — a work of non-fiction (memoir) — as meriting serious consideration.

Now in its sixth year, the Emerging Writers Programme offers a year’s free membership to The London Library, alongside development masterclasses, peer support, and publication in a cohort anthology. It is designed for early-career writers working across all genres and forms. Boateng’s inclusion on the longlist acknowledges the strength of their application and the project’s potential.

For writers at any stage, recognition like this — quiet, offstage — can affirm the slow, private work of writing. Boateng extends thanks to the judging panel and looks ahead to future opportunities.
