The Black British Book Festival—A New Generation Speaks
More:
Llyrio Boateng was recently selected for the ‘Fi Wi Time: A New Generation Speaks’ programme, a prestigious six-week initiative organized by the Black British Book Festival. Bringing together young Black nonfiction writers from Jamaica and the UK, the programme fostered cross-cultural exchange through intensive workshops and expert mentoring.
For Boateng, the experience was as challenging as it was rewarding. Under the guidance of seasoned mentors, Llyrio focused on refining technical precision and crystallizing a unique authorial voice. Beyond the craft, the programme offered Boateng a vital opportunity to connect with a global cohort of writers, gaining fresh perspectives that continue to inform a developing body of work.
